Using Citadel

Is Citadel free for jobseekers?

Yes, entirely. Searching, applying, uploading CVs and following companies cost nothing and always will. Employers pay to advertise; candidates never pay to apply.

Why does every job show a salary?

Because it is the first thing people want to know and the last thing most adverts say. Every job on Citadel publishes a gross monthly range in Tanzanian shillings before you apply, so you can decide whether it is worth your time.

What does the verified badge mean?

That a person at Citadel has checked the employer's registration documents against the company name and TIN. It is not automatic and it is not bought. An employer without the badge is not necessarily a problem, but it has not been checked.

Will I hear back after applying?

You are emailed every time an employer moves your application — to screening, to their shortlist, to interview, or to a decision. If they reject you, the reason they wrote is in that email.

Who can see my CV?

Only an employer you have applied to, and only the CV you attached to that application. Your other documents stay private. Your referees are never shown to employers; they ask for those at offer stage.

Pricing & payments

Do I pay to post a job?

You can write and submit a job for free. A plan is needed to publish it, and plans are bought per year with credits you spend one per post.

What is a credit?

One published job. A Starter plan carries ten, Professional fifty, Enterprise two hundred. Add-ons like a featured listing can also be paid for with credits instead of cash.

How do I pay?

By mobile money in Tanzanian shillings. Prices on this page are what you pay; there is nothing added at checkout.

Can I change plan later?

Yes. Unused credits carry across, and you are charged the difference rather than starting again.
